Amanda Williamson

Hi, I'm Amanda Williamson.

I am passionate about supporting individuals to overcome self-limiting beliefs, so they can step forward with clarity, confidence, and positive energy!

Where My Journey Began

My interest in well-being started when I was a teenager, exploring self-help strategies to manage shyness, anxiety, and low confidence. I often felt on the sidelines of my own life - isolated, overwhelmed, and worried about the impact my struggles had on my family.

Those early experiences shaped who I am today and fuelled my commitment to helping adults and young people to find their voice, build confidence, and feel secure in who they are.

From Teaching to Wellbeing Coaching

After completing a Bachelor of Education (Hons) Degree at UEA, Norwich, I became a primary school teacher and nurturing children's confidence quickly became central to my work. Hearing parents say their child had "come out of their shell" in my class was a powerful reminder of what can happen when young people are supported to recognise their strengths.

When I later chose to leave teaching, I established a Health and Wellbeing Project across Medical Practices in Leicestershire and Rutland, inviting referrals from GPs for adult patients wanting to make practical changes to their lives. The project went on to win two ESF awards, inspiring me to complete a coaching qualification and to launch Spiral Life Coaching.

I was honoured to be nominated for an award and attended a ceremony at the Houses of Parliament where I was presented to Dragon's Den Rachel…

Coaching, Training & Recognised Excellence

Since that time, I have delivered private 1to1 coaching at the Church Street Practice in Leicestershire (where I continue to practise) and designed and delivered coaching programmes for staff at the University Hospitals of Leicester(shire).

I have also worked with the Adult Learning Services in both Leicestershire and Rutland, delivering courses in Confidence Building, Stress Management, and Family Learning. My work during this time was assessed as Grade 1 (Outstanding) by Ofsted, something I remain extremely proud of.

Supporting People Today

A move into Further Education a decade ago allowed me to deepen my work with young people. I trained as a Mental Health First Aider and now have extensive experience supporting young people who feel anxious, overwhelmed, or uncertain about their next steps.

Today, I divide my time between my private coaching practice and my role as a Wellbeing Mentor for adults in a local college.
